Travel.

A couple of weekends ago, we were all off school//work & decided that we’d take a quick ride on the train up to Chicago for a long weekend. We got on the 7am Friday train and came back on the Sunday 7pm train. It was one of my most favorite weekends of all time. Although our time there was short, we packed about as much as possible into the weekend. Our hotel was right along Michigan Ave. downtown, so we got plenty  of shopping in {ummm…I’m pretty sure i was in the 3 (YES THREE) story Forever xxi for about three hours, aha}. The first day, we mainly just went all over Michigan Ave (and had some really incredible pizza, for sure!). Then, Saturday, we woke up and went to “The Bean” sculpture in Millennium Park, took a cab to the aquarium (where we waited in a lovely two hour line, outdoors, in the cold Chicago weather, mind you). We stayed at the aquarium for a couple hours & it turned out to be quite impressive! Then, we took a water taxi to the Navy Pier, had a late lunch there, and then walked a couple blocks back to the hotel on Michigan Ave. Sunday, we went to the “Chicago” sign outside of the theater, and then went to Willis Tower! It was an amazing weekend & I won’t be forgetting it soon! What were some of your favorite memories of weekends past?
Much love,
Olivia
