Taking risks. It’s a touchy subject, considering that if you take a big risk, you could be subject to lots of shame & criticism. Take Miley, for example. She chopped her hair & danced around with a giant teddy bear. Risk? For sure. Great accomplishment that she should feel proud of? Ummm… well…?
See, taking risks can either completely give you an extra boost of confidence, or make you look like, for lack of a better word, a complete weirdo. When you do something that’s a risk, and jump outside your comfort zone, there is always a consequence that follows, either a good one or a bad one. Lately, I’ve been wanting to take some fashion risks. This could either end badly or not. But, I think the most important thing when taking risks, is that you feel comfortable in your own skin, rather than trying to be someone you’re not. Even though I’m trying to take some new fashion risks, it’s because it’s something I’ve wanted to do, not because I’m uncomfortable with who I am as a person. Remember when I wrote about being brave in this new year? That is the type of attitude I want to take when it comes to the way I dress, and the way I let my personality show.
Sometimes, being afraid of what others will think of you can inhibit you from acting a certain way, or, for that matter, dressing a certain way. But, it’s 2014, ladies! Don’t be afraid to show the real you! Wear that crazy outfit that’s full of your personality. Rock those insane shoes. Don’t let others intimidate you into just doing “what everyone else is doing”. Be open to trying new things if it’s you!
Here are some outfit ideas I want to try even though they’re a tad crazier than I would typically wear!
