April. April. April.
SO many things have happened this month. I’ve grown up so much & experienced so much.
For starters, I kicked off the month by attending senior prom. ((which was by far the best night of senior year.))
Next, I finished a book that became one of my favorites. Click HERE to read a little bit about why Brené Brown’s book, Daring Greatly, is one of my favorites. Also, here’s a snippet from the book…
“Connection is why we’re here; it is what gives purpose and meaning to our lives. The power that connection holds in our lives was confirmed when the main concern about connection emerged as the fear of disconnection; the fear that something we have done or failed to do, something about who we are or where we come from, has made us unlovable and unworthy of connection.”
Brené’s basically the coolest.
Then…I got accepted into FIT. The Fashion Institute of Technology is a school I applied to, thinking I would never get accepted into, but, to my surprise, I did! It’s decision time!!
Now…I’m just sitting here as it’s rains & I’m thinking about the blessings I’ve experienced lately, and some of the hard challenges I’ve endured. Although these challenges can sometimes a lot of times be rough, it just makes me step back and realize what The Lord has shown me through each one of these experiences, and, regardless how some of them might stink, He is always going to remain faithful.
Have a splendid day & keep trusting in His Word.
much love & xoxo,
