A Very Poncho Thanksgiving

/ November 25, 2015 /

Life.

Hello lovelies,

The time is near. Tomorrow is my favorite holiday! I don’t know what it is about Thanksgiving, but there’s just something about all the family gathered together, spending time with one another, contemplating what they’re grateful for. It just seems like a genuinely beautiful time to spend time together as a family.

This year, my family will be celebrating with just part of my immediate family. My Dad will be in Iowa, celebrating with the rest of our extended family, so here in St. Louis it will just be my little family of my Mom, brother, and Grandma.

With that being said, we will just spend the day together eating some yummy food that my Mom is going to make, playing board games, and watching the Thanksgiving Day parade on tv.

It will be a pretty casual day, which is what I’ve really catered this look towards. I want this look to be something that you can lounge around your house in, travel to Grandma’s house in, or even go for a walk around the neighborhood to walk off the huge turkey dinner.

All of the clothes in this outfit specifically can be found at Paisley Boutique, however, since ponchos and capes alike are all the rage right now it seems like, they can be found at pretty much any major retailer or local boutique.

This next outfit is one that I put together to show you how much I enjoy ponchos, because you can wear them on a brisk fall day as your main coat or jacket. Then if you get too warm, simply take it off and wear the top that you were wearing under it. My favorite pairing is a v-neck poncho with a turtleneck underneath.

Hopefully, you have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebrating with your family! The blog will be a little quiet over the next few days as I take this time to celebrate with my family and friends, but check back soon to see what else is going on here.

Much love,

Olivia
