September Uniform
Do you ever just have one of those outfits in your closet that seems to be on repeat all. the. time? I’m so absolutely pumped that I have found that kind of look for this month’s uniform. Yes, it’s worn in a few different variations, but all in all, it’s the same outfit.
Not only is this look so stinkin’ simple, it also just gives off such a cool vibe that’s also just effortless in the process. Katie Prestemon Photography helped me capture my favorite uniform in a fun photoshoot at the St. Louis Art Museum that I can’t wait to share with you!
Now, heading back to school has been quite the time for me. Coming out of a semester studying abroad, I can definitely say that this current semester has already been one of the most challenging for me. Not only was I away from an academic setting for almost nine months, but I am also taking the heaviest course load of my college career as well as having the highest level of difficulty classes this semester.
With all of that being said, the last thing I need is any more chaos and complications. Enter, my go-to look. I think it’s super handy to have a look that you love so much that you’re always willing to wear it. For me, when I wake up in the morning and I’m maybe a little lost as to what I should wear, or, heaven forbid I wake up super late (if you know me, you know this happens way more than I would like it to), I usually will stand in my closet for way too long trying to decide what to wear. This outfit has really combatted any of that happening though, because it’s always at my fingertips ready to throw on.
I am absolutely in love with denim jumpers and I’m super pumped about how popular they’ve gotten. I found this gem on the clearance rack at Urban Outfitters. It’s currently sold out but you can find it in other colors HERE. Please excuse me for a moment while I go buy the other three colors that it comes in, haha!
Under the jumper, I will usually wear any kind of either striped shirt or solid shirt. You could really come up with any kind of combination and the jumper would still look amazing.
These jumpers are super lightweight, easy breezy and perfect. I legitimately cannot get enough of it. If you follow me on Instagram, it will most likely look like I never wear anything else in all of my pictures.
Then come the Superstars. Oh yeah, those shoes that never come off of my feet. In fact, I’m wearing them right now as I write this post. These were the shoes that my Mom bought me about 12 hours after I stepped off the plane after getting home from Spain as my belated birthday present!
Not only are these the comfiest shoes that I own, but also the most versatile. I throw on a tank and Nike shorts for class? I add the Superstars. I have a flannel + jeans outfit on? I’ll wear the Superstars. And obviously even with dresses, I’m wearing the Superstars. These are my favorite shoes for a reason, people.
Finally comes my favorite bag I have ever owned. I purchased this bag completely on a whim after seeing it on sale for $20 on Free People. I knew that I would never in a million years pay the $100 original price for this bag, but I loved it and thought that $20 was worth it. When it arrived last month in the mail, I was so amazed at how beautiful it was in person.
It is such good quality vegan leather and I can’t get enough of it. I bring it to school to carry my things in, I use it as a purse, I bring my computer everywhere in it, I just can’t get enough! While the tote is currently out of stock on the website (obviously everyone loved it as much as I did), Free People also has another vegan leather tote HERE that I am also crushing on!
What is your go-to outfit? Do you have any ideas for me as fall approaches to come and I need to adapt this look for cooler weather? Currently, my thoughts are leggings under the jumper and a chunky sweater over it, but there is still a little bit of time to change my plans.
