Fallin’ for…Fall.
Yesterday was the perfect day. It’s getting to the point in the fall season where the weather is perfect and you can embrace the leaves falling around you, have a latte in your hand, and of course, wear your favorite fall clothes.
This semester has been a crazy and complicated semester, but it’s also been filled with some pretty great moments, friends, and experiences. Yesterday was the perfect day to just walk around downtown Columbia with friends and take some pictures. My favorite thing about Columbia besides my school (holla at you, Mizzou) is definitely the downtown area.
I am obsessed with the assortment of boutiques, mom + pop shops, chain stores, and restaurants alike that create the perfect mixture of places to hang out at. Overall, I think it brings a small town vibe to a bigger town in Missouri, and for that I am thankful. Although I’ve always wanted to live in a small town, I think Columbia has perfectly captured the feeling of living in a small town despite having shopping malls and lots of big chain stores.
Yesterday, I wore my favorite kimono, a black tank, jeans, and my new sandals. I love this kimono because its a great piece to carry though different seasons. While I have worn it in the summer over a tank and cutoffs, it’s just as easy to wear it over a LBD in the fall or even paired with a long sleeve.
Throwing a kimono over a pair of denim is my favorite go-to look to wear to class because it’s effortless all the while looking a step up from the oh-so-common leggings and baggy t-shirt trend that is the look for this season around campus.
The weather lately has only been solidifying my obsession with fall ~ and definitely earning a first place spot in my rank of favorite seasons. What are your favorite things about fall? Have a great week, lovelies!
Much love,
Olivia
